Location
The Sportgästehaus Unterberg is in the village of Kössen in the Kaiserwinkl region, right next to the valley station of the Hochkössen ski area. In winter, being so close to the slopes means you can head straight into the ski area – with no long walks.
In summer, too, the location is a winner thanks to the surrounding mountain landscape, which offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Hiking and cycling routes start practically on the doorstep and offer impressive views of the Tyrolean Alps.

The house has 120 beds spread across 29 functionally furnished multi-bed rooms. The rooms are practically equipped and offer pleasant accommodation for a comfortable stay in the mountains.

Getting here by public transport
Travel by train to Kufstein or St. Johann in Tirol. From there, there are regular bus connections to Kössen. The most convenient way is to take the bus to the Hüttwirt stop. From there it is just a few minutes' walk to the Sportgästehaus Unterberg.
Getting here by car
By car, take the A8 Munich–Salzburg or the Inntal motorway to Kufstein, then continue via Walchsee to Kössen. In the village, follow the signs to the Hochkössen mountain railways. The Sportgästehaus is located at Thurnbichl 55.
