Set amid the impressive mountain scenery of the Kaisergebirge, right at the foot of the Unterberg in the beautiful village of Kössen, stands the Sportgästehaus – an ideal starting point for unforgettable adventures in the heart of the Kaiserwinkl region. The accommodation has room for up to 120 people, which makes it perfect for school classes.

Experience nature, push your limits – grow together

A summer school trip to the Austrian Alps is far more than just a change of scenery: it opens up space for exercise, nature experiences and real community. Whether on varied hikes, fast-paced mountain bike tours or exciting explorations of the alpine landscape – here the natural surroundings become a living learning environment. The pupils discover new sides to themselves and their classmates, go beyond their limits and create lasting memories. Along the way, experiencing things together as a group promotes social interaction and strengthens a conscious approach to the environment.

Staying with mountain views & fully catered

The functionally furnished multi-bed rooms (2–10 beds) mostly have their own showers and toilets, and additional sanitary facilities are available on each floor. The teachers stay in comfort in single or double rooms with their own bathroom and balcony – with a magnificent view of the mountains.

A special extra: a cosy Stüberl with a bar is available exclusively for teachers and older pupils – perfect for relaxed evenings in good company.

The catering leaves nothing to be desired either: a delicious breakfast and two hot meals a day provide plenty of energy. Anyone out and about during the day can take a packed lunch instead of the midday meal. In addition, Skiwasser (flavoured squash) and water are available free of charge all day – perfect for active days in the sun.

Games, sport and fun – indoors and outdoors

Even away from the mountain tours, the Sportgästehaus has plenty to offer: in the games and common rooms, table tennis tables, table football, air hockey, billiards and darts invite you to exciting matches. If you prefer to dance, relax or chill out, you will enjoy the house's own disco, the wellness area with sauna, steam bath and relaxation room, the cosy TV room, Wi-Fi access and the kiosk with everything your heart desires. A projector for film evenings or presentations is also available.

The action continues outdoors: the 6.500 square metre outdoor area offers, among other things, a parkour course, ground trampolines, football goals, a volleyball net, a basketball hoop, a slackline and of course – the absolute highlight – the house's own pool! All facilities are free for guests to use.

Especially popular in summer: on request, a water slide can also be set up – huge fun for everyone! The cost is a one-off 50 € per group.
