Welcome to winter wonderland!

Our new Jugendgästehaus Tauplitzalm! Why always the same thing? We thought so too! Since the winter of 2024/2025, we have been warmly welcoming you to our new Jugendgästehaus Tauplitzalm. The former 4-star hotel, which was completely renovated in 2019, is located at 1.650 m – and of course you stay right in the ski area. Ski-in, ski-out – what more could you want? We love it!

Ski-/Snowboardfreizeit Tauplitzalm

With its 43 km of pistes (blue: 18 km, red: 19 km, black: 6 km) reaching up to an altitude of 1.965 m, the Tauplitz is the largest single ski area in Styria. The heart of the ski area is the beautiful, car-free Tauplitzalm. Whether you're a newbie or a pro: when it comes to pistes, there is something for everyone. At the Mitterstein 8-person gondola, for example, there are sporty, long runs, while the wide, sweeping and less steep pistes at the Lawinenstein and Schneiderkogel are more for those who like to take it easy. The terrain is very varied and leaves little to be desired. The Tauplitz has won several awards and is one of the most snow-sure areas in the Alps. Modern snow-making systems also ensure that the winter season lasts until after Easter. Depending on whether you are a beginner on the boards or already have a bit of practice, we will put you into the appropriate courses. The advanced skiers and snowboarders are allowed – provided your parents give their permission on the consent form – to ride through the ski area on their own in groups of 3. But you can also ride in a group together with a camp leader. After the slopes, you can chill in your super cosy and spacious room or, for example, take part in one of our wellness afternoons. Look forward to the panoramic indoor pool (6 x 12 metres) and the stone pine panoramic sauna. Whether it's a cosy evening with board games, a round of table tennis or air hockey – either way, our camp leaders will accompany you through the evening too and have planned lots of entertaining activities (pool games, tobogganing evening, torchlit walk and much more). Travel

For both coach and car travel: as the Jugendgästehaus Tauplitzalm is located right in the ski area, it is not possible to drive up to the house. The 1.5 km route from the Tauplitzalm car park to the house must be covered on foot. Walking time: 20-30 minutes. We will of course take care of transporting your luggage.

Please note: tolls and parking fees apply for the drive to the Tauplitzalm car park. You must pay these fees yourselves. The last 10 km from the Tauplitzalm toll station to the Tauplitzalm car park is a winding mountain road. In snowfall, snow chains or four-wheel drive are essential.

Coach travel there/back:

The outward journey is overnight. Depending on your pick-up point, you board the coach in the evening, at night or early in the morning. The return journey is during the day. Departure from the Tauplitzalm car park is at around 9:00 am. You can choose your pick-up and drop-off point when you book.

You will receive the link to the customer centre with your booking confirmation. About 4 weeks before the trip starts, the customer centre will show you the provisional departure and arrival times as well as whether the pick-up points with a surcharge in Münster, Dortmund and Düsseldorf (at least 5 people per pick-up point) will be served or whether we have rebooked you to the nearest transfer point. You will find the binding times in the customer centre 7 days before the trip starts. The provisional times below may still change by +/- 90 minutes. We reserve the right to change the departure addresses again if necessary.

Please note our luggage rules:

1x hand luggage (small bag/backpack)
1x travel bag/backpack (suitcases are not allowed). Maximum weight: 23 kg. Maximum dimensions: 80cm x 40cm x 40cm (= 128 litres volume). We reserve the right not to transport luggage if the maximum weight and/or maximum dimensions are exceeded.
1x ski or snowboard equipment (skis or board + bag for boots and helmet)
1x pillow

Our coach partner Reisebus.nrw stands for quality, professional service and the highest safety standards. The statutory driving and rest times are strictly observed. All vehicles used are regularly serviced and are in perfect technical condition. This applies both to the Reisebus.nrw coaches and to the vehicles of its long-standing partner companies. The long-distance coaches used are at least 3-star category and are equipped with comfortable reclining seats, air conditioning and WC. Should the WC not be usable in an individual case, sufficient breaks will of course be planned.
