The former 3-star hotel enjoys a stunning location at 1,750 m on the border between Salzburg and Carinthia. Both the favourable altitude and the snow-sure Nock Mountains make this region a real “snow pocket” and home to the Carinthian Alpine Training Centre. The Schönfeld ski area is perfect for beginners. Access to the ski area and the 25 km high-altitude cross-country trail is right on the doorstep.
On the "Mattehans side" (the mountain opposite the house) there is a T-bar lift, an 80 m rope tow with button lifts and a 120 m magic carpet. The beginners' area alone therefore covers around 10,000 m².
Innerkrems / Grosseck-Speiereck
In autumn 2022, the investor initiative Alpenjuwel Nockalm was launched. However, we currently assume that this project will not yet be implemented next winter and that the Innerkrems ski area will remain closed. The nearest ski areas are Katschberg (30 min drive) and Grosseck-Speiereck (35 minutes' drive).

In principle, various arrival days are possible at the guesthouse. For individual bookings, travel to Schönfeld is usually independent. If you would like to travel with a larger group, we can provide you with an offer for coach travel through our partner coach company. When choosing our coach partners, we focus on quality and safety. All vehicles used are regularly serviced and are therefore in perfect technical and visual condition. The modern long-distance coaches are at least 3-star category and have reclining seats, air conditioning, WC, TV/DVD and plenty of legroom. Our long-standing partners stand out for their professional service and compliance with the statutory driving and rest times. With us, you will reach your destination safely and comfortably!
