A warm welcome to the Jugendgästehaus Tauplitzalm! Located right in the ski area at an altitude of 1,650 m, our accommodation offers the best conditions for a ski school trip full of sporting challenges and team spirit. No ski bus, no waiting: just strap on your skis or snowboards and head straight from the house onto the slopes!

The "Die Tauplitz" ski area – variety and snow reliability

With 43 kilometres of slopes (18 km blue, 19 km red, 6 km black), the Tauplitz is the largest single ski area in Styria and ideal for every ability level. The car-free, quiet surroundings of Tauplitzalm create a safe, relaxed atmosphere in the middle of nature. From wide runs at the Lawinenstein and Schneiderkogel for beginners to sporty slopes at the Mitterstein 8-person gondola – everyone will find their perfect run here. Freeride fans get their money's worth too, with varied lines and snow reliability until Easter thanks to modern snow-making systems.

Relaxation at the Jugendgästehaus Tauplitzalm

The Jugendgästehaus, freshly renovated in 2019, combines a cosy atmosphere with a wide range of leisure activities. The panoramic indoor pool and the stone pine sauna offer ideal conditions for relaxing after a long day on the slopes and sharing your experiences.

Return journey in a modern coach (Fri./Sat.–Sat.)

Getting there

For both coach and car travel: as the Jugendgästehaus Tauplitzalm is located directly in the ski area, it is not possible to drive up to the house. The 1.5 km route from the Tauplitzalm car park to the house has to be covered on foot. Walking time: 20-30 minutes. We will of course take care of the luggage transport.

When choosing our coach partners, we focus on quality and safety. All vehicles used are serviced regularly and are therefore in perfect technical and visual condition. The modern coaches are at least 3-star category and are equipped with reclining seats, air conditioning, toilet, TV/DVD and plenty of legroom. Our long-standing partners are distinguished by professional handling and compliance with the statutory driving and rest times. With us you will arrive safely and comfortably!

The coach journey is a shuttle service. To keep the ski school trip as affordable as possible, you may have to share the coach with another school in order to avoid empty seats. The outward journey takes place as an overnight journey from Thursday to Friday. Your personal departure time depends mainly on where your school starts from. Arrival at the house is usually planned for 8:00 on Friday. The return journey from Tauplitzalm starts at around 9:30.
