The Jugendgästehaus Tauplitzalm is the perfect accommodation for groups, clubs and sporty stays on the Tauplitz. Located at an altitude of 1,650 metres right in the ski area, the former 4-star hotel, completely renovated in 2019, offers the best conditions for shared winter experiences without detours.

No ski bus, no waiting – instead, simply strap on your skis or snowboard right at the house and off you go. Its location in the middle of the ski area makes the Tauplitzalm particularly attractive for groups who want to spend as much time as possible on the slopes.

 

Tauplitz ski area – varied and snow-sure

 

With 43 kilometres of slopes (18 km blue, 19 km red, 6 km black), Die Tauplitz is the largest single ski area in Styria and reaches up to an altitude of 1,965 metres. Its heart is the car-free Tauplitzalm, whose special location offers a quiet yet varied skiing experience.

The ski area is particularly suitable for groups, as it offers both easy and more challenging runs. Around the Mitterstein 8-seater gondola there are sporty runs, while the wide slopes on the Lawinenstein and Schneiderkogel are ideal for leisurely skiers and mixed groups.

Freeride groups will also get their money's worth: the terrain offers numerous lines with different levels of difficulty and varied terrain.

 

Snow-sure with perfect conditions

 

Die Tauplitz is one of the most snow-sure ski areas in the Alps. Modern snowmaking also ensures that ideal conditions usually last well beyond Easter. This makes the area perfect for reliably planned group trips throughout the winter season.

 

Relaxing after a day on the slopes

 

After an active day in the snow, the Jugendgästehaus Tauplitzalm offers ideal opportunities to relax. The cosy and spacious rooms create space for relaxation and togetherness.

There is also a wellness area with indoor pool (6 × 12 metres) and a stone-pine panoramic sauna. You can then end the day together in a relaxed atmosphere at the bar or in the cosy Zirbenstube.
