A winter experience in the mountains

 

The Gerlosplatte youth guest house offers groups and clubs ideal conditions for action-packed winter stays, training camps and days in the snow together in one of the most beautiful mountain regions in Austria.

Since it reopened in February 2020, a modern guest house has been waiting for you in Hochkrimml at an altitude of 1.700 metres, creating perfect conditions for sport, togetherness and unforgettable winter experiences. Located right on the border between Salzburg and Tyrol, our house combines a unique location with close proximity to the Zillertal Arena and a wide range of things to do in the snow.

 

Winter adventures right on your doorstep

 

The cosy rooms offer a wonderful view of the snow-covered mountain landscape. For groups who also want to be active away from the slopes, there are plenty of leisure activities available. After a sporty day in the snow, two panorama saunas, the fireplace lounge and various relaxation areas invite you to unwind and recover.

The Zillertal Arena is right on your doorstep and makes it easy to get started in one of the largest ski areas in Austria. From the heated ski room, you can reach the Duxeralmbahn and the Duxerlift in just a few minutes on foot. With sufficient snow, you can even ski down right to the house.

With 147 kilometres of pistes, the Zillertal Arena offers varied runs for every skill level. Thanks to its altitude of up to 2.500 metres and modern snow-making systems, the snow conditions are usually excellent well into spring. The offer is complemented by deep-snow areas, race courses, fun parks and a variety of runs for both sporty and relaxed ski days.

There are also plenty of options for winter activities together away from the ski slopes: the Hochkrimml high-altitude cross-country trail starts right at the house and invites you to sporty laps in an impressive winter landscape. In the surrounding area, the Filzsteinalm with its toboggan run provides extra winter fun for the group.

Whether on the slopes, on the cross-country trail or doing activities together in the snow – the special location of the house creates ideal conditions for intense, sociable and unforgettable winter days in the mountains.
