A warm welcome to the Jugendgästehaus Gerlosplatte – the ideal place for groups, clubs and training camps in the middle of the impressive mountains of the Zillertal Arena.
Since it reopened in February 2020, a modern guesthouse awaits you in Hochkrimml at an altitude of 1,700 metres, offering ideal conditions for shared activities, sporting challenges and restful days in the mountains. Located right on the border between Salzburg and Tyrol, our house combines a unique location with a wide range of leisure and sports facilities.
The cosy rooms offer a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. For exercise, team spirit and varied programmes, there is a sports hall, several trampolines, an indoor soccer hall, a pump track and numerous other leisure facilities. After an active day, two panoramic saunas, the fireside lounge and various relaxation areas invite you to unwind and recover.
A summer full of possibilities
In the warmer months, the region around Hochkrimml shows its particularly varied side. Right on the doorstep begins a network of hiking trails around 400 kilometres long, leading through the impressive landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Krimmler Achental is one of the most beautiful national park valleys in Austria and is ideal for hikes, mountain tours and mountain bike trips. A special highlight is the Krimml Waterfalls with their impressive drop of 380 metres, as well as the Wasserwelten Krimml. You can also look forward to numerous other activities such as via ferratas, rafting, canoe tours on the reservoir and many other outdoor experiences that are ideal for groups and clubs. Whether sporting challenges, shared activities or experiencing nature – around the Jugendgästehaus Gerlosplatte, groups will find the best conditions for varied and unforgettable days in the mountains.

Travel
Travel with one of our coaches is included for you. Pick-ups are possible along the route Dortmund – Düsseldorf – Cologne – Frankfurt – Mannheim – Karlsruhe – Stuttgart – Ulm – Munich [possibly Würzburg – Nuremberg]. To make the journey more sustainable, different groups may share a coach. The coach stays on site from Tuesday to Thursday and can therefore be used for excursions and the sports programme for up to 200 km per group.
Our coach partner Reisebus.nrw stands for quality, professional service and the highest safety standards – especially through strict compliance with the statutory driving and rest times. All vehicles used are regularly serviced and are in perfect technical condition. This applies both to the Reisebus.nrw coaches and to the vehicles of its long-standing partner companies. The long-distance coaches used are at least 3-star category and are equipped with comfortable reclining seats, air conditioning and WC. Should the WC not be usable in an individual case, sufficient breaks will of course be planned.
