In summer, the Jugendgästehaus Gerlosplatte is the ideal base for you and your family if you want to spend time together in nature, be active and discover the mountains around Hochkrimml.

Located in Hochkrimml at an altitude of 1,700 metres, the modern guesthouse has offered the best conditions for restful and eventful days with the family since it reopened in February 2020. Right on the border between Salzburg and Tyrol, the house combines a special location with a wide range of options for young and old.

The cosy rooms offer you a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and create a relaxing retreat after an eventful day. For time together in the house, numerous leisure facilities are available. You can find quiet moments in the panoramic saunas, the fireside lounge and the various common areas.

 

Experience nature right on your doorstep

 

Around the house begins an extensive network of hiking trails, around 400 kilometres long, through the impressive nature of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Here you can go for walks, easy hikes or longer tours with your family.

The Krimmler Achental is one of the most beautiful valleys in the region and offers ideal conditions for excursions with children. A special highlight is the Krimml Waterfalls with their impressive height, as well as the Wasserwelten Krimml, where you can experience nature in a playful way.

The region also offers many other options such as child-friendly hiking trails, easy via ferratas, rafting tours or relaxing hours at the reservoir.
