In summer, the Jugendgästehaus Gerlosplatte is the ideal base for you and your family if you want to spend time together in nature, be active and discover the mountains around Hochkrimml.

Located in Hochkrimml at an altitude of 1.700 metres, the modern guesthouse has offered the best conditions for relaxing and eventful days with the family since it reopened in February 2020. Right on the border between Salzburg and Tyrol, the house combines a special location with a wide range of possibilities for young and old alike.

The cosy rooms give you a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain landscape and provide a relaxing retreat after an action-packed day. There are plenty of leisure activities for spending time together in the house. You will find quiet moments in the panorama saunas, the fireplace lounge and the various common areas.

 

Experience nature right on your doorstep

 

Around the house begins an extensive network of hiking trails covering around 400 kilometres through the impressive nature of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Here you can go for walks, easy hikes or longer tours together with your family.

The Krimmler Achental is one of the most beautiful valleys in the region and offers ideal conditions for trips with children. A particular highlight are the Krimml Waterfalls with their impressive height, as well as the Wasserwelten Krimml, where you can experience nature in a playful way.

In addition, the region offers many other possibilities such as child-friendly hiking trails, easy via ferratas, rafting tours or relaxing hours at the reservoir lake.
